Prenova dotrajane enote Ribiška Vrtca Ivana Glinška bi se morala pričeti že avgusta lansko leto, saj so ga že julija zaprli in otroke preselili drugam. Kljub časovnemu zamiku in nekaterim drugim težavam pa se je dolgopričakovana prenova končno pričela.
V okviru prenove enote Ribiška bodo opravili zgolj nujna vzdrževalna dela, v vrednosti okoli 150 tisoč evrov.
Do sanacije dotrajanega objekta je prišlo po tem, ko je mariborska občina zaradi previsoke cene, 1,5 milijona evrov vreden projekt preklicala obširnejšo rekonstrukcijo in dozidavo ter se odločila, da poišče novo lokacijo za gradnjo vrtca z več enotami.
V Vrtcu Ivana Glinška, v šestih enotah je v tem šolskem letu 31 oddlekov, za prihodnje šolsko leto predvidevajo, da jih bo 34.
Stavba enote Ribiška je bila zgrajena leta 1959. Tako zaposleni kot tudi otroci pa se konca obnove dotrajanega objekta veselijo. Otroški smeh naj bi enoto Ribiška napolnil ponovno 1. septembra.
