Dan rekreativnega športa v Rušah postaja tradicionalno prireditve, ki napoveduje poletno rekreativno sezono. Prvič so prireditev izvedli leta 2017, ko so otvorili zunanje športne površine. Namen takšnega dne je predstavitev športne infrastrukture, programov, društev in izvajalcev športnih programov. Gre torej za predstavitveni dan, obiskovalci lahko v enem skoncentriran dnevu spoznajo športne aktivnosti in tudi sam kraj. Športno / rekreativen dan, ki je namenjen vsem.
